AEO: “Authorized Economic Operator” for European Customs: This is an official agreement delivered by the European Customs authority: agreement for customs or agreement for security. Phoenix TFS is certified for both.

ASYCUDA: “Automated SYstem for CUstoms Data”

BSC / BESC: “Bordereau Electronique de Suivi de Cargaison”” (can also be called ECTN, ASI, ACD, etc. (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note, Advanced Shipment Information, Advanced Cargo Declaration, etc.).

BULK cargo: Loose – unpackaged – non-containerized cargo.

ENS: “Entry Summary Declaration”

B/L: “Bill of lading”: A document issued by a maritime carrier, or its agent, to the shipper as a contract of carriage of goods. It is also a receipt for cargo accepted for transportation, and must be presented for collecting the delivery at destination.

ISPS code: “International Ship and Port facility Security” (International standard) is a comprehensive set of measures to enhance the security of ships and port facilities implemented in SOLAS special measures in 1974.

IMO/ILO: “International Maritime Organization” / “Internationnal Labour Organization”: Code of practice on security in ports/ Maritime safety committee.
